KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — The Health Ministry today warned the public against the purchase and use of seven cosmetics items that it found to contain various poisons.
Among these were Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd’s Qu Gebu AP Krim that was found to contain hydroquinone and tretinoin. The firm belongs to celebrity entrepreneur Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman, or better known as Dr Vida.
The others include Ezzueriche Wellness’ Night Glowing that had traces of mercury and Night Glow (hydroquinone and tretinoin), Babiez Glow Skincare’s Glowing Speed Gold Day Cream (mercury), Elsuhaz (M) Sdn Bhd’s Nour Ain Night Cream (mercury), and Ortus Expert Cosmetics’ Royal Expert Whitening Cream (mercury).
“All sellers and distributors are warned to stop sales and distribution of these products immediately.
“All sellers are reminded that selling or distributing these cosmetic products is an offence under the Control Of Drugs and Cosmetics Regulations 1984,” the ministry said in a statement.
Failure to comply could result in fines of up to RM25,000 and imprisonment of no more than three years for individual first offenders.
According to the ministry, mercury exposure can lead to kidney and nerve damage as well as impaired brain development in foetuses and young children.
Hydroquinone can cause skin redness, discomfort, skin discolouration and hypersensitivity while tretinoin may result in redness to the skin, discomfort, stinging, peeling and sensitivity to sunlight.

Meet the Disney Star Who Took Paris Fashion Week by Storm
Paris Fashion Week
is a whirlwind. With back-to-back shows and parties that last into the
wee hours, it can be an overwhelming experience even for seasoned
attendees. But for first-timer Sofia Carson, the mayhem made for nonstop
fun. As the star of the Descendants films
and a musician with a catchy single, “Back to Beautiful,” Carson is the
latest in a long line of multitaskers to emerge from Disney, one whose
personal style is also worthy of the spotlight. While other stars are
busy with the latest in athleisure, Carson displays a refreshingly
polished look. She cites old Hollywood icons, such as Audrey Hepburn and
Grace Kelly, as inspirations and name-checks sophisticated designers,
including Giambattista Valli and Mugler’s David Koma as favorites.
At just 23, Carson already knows her Akris from her Alaïa and speaks of fashion shows with the
passion of a true devotee. “It’s so different feeling the energy of being in the room and watching the models walk past you,” says Carson. “It’s a whole different experience from watching the collection online or looking at pictures on Instagram.” Carson made the most of her time in Paris with a fully booked schedule that included tea with Monique Lhuillier, who designed her princess-y Oscars dress, and trips to local hotspots like L’Avenue and Hôtel Costes.Working with stylist Jeff K. Kim, Carson pulled together a stunning wardrobe of attention-grabbing dresses and statement outerwear for the week. Here, Carson shares the story behind each look and the runway pieces she can’t wait to wear.

Hijab style with Two Hijab Pari ZaaD 2017 new video
subscribe girl wearing a headscarf reads the Qur'an A girl studying the Qur'an
Hijab is an Arabic word meaning barrier or partition.
In Islam, however, it has a broader meaning. It is the principle of modesty and includes behaviour as well as dress for both males and females.
The most visible form of hijab is the head covering that many Muslim women wear. Hijab however goes beyond the head scarf. In one popular school of Islamic thought, hijab refers to the complete covering of everything except the hands, face and feet in long, loose and non see-through garments. A woman who wears hijab is called Muhaajaba.
Muslim women are required to observe the hijab in front of any man they could theoretically marry. This means that hijab is not obligatory in front of the father, brothers, grandfathers, uncles or young children.
Hijab does not need to be worn in front of other Muslim women, but there is debate about what can be revealed to non-Muslim women.

Plus Size Fashion Week 2017 - Big Size women - plus size Apple-shaped women
Plus Size Fashion Week 2017 - Big Size women - plus size Apple-shaped women are fuller around the top ,
fashion field and their dependence with whatever clothing they could find, or having to make their own clothes such as plus size swimwear. Nowadays, large women want to look good and feel good in ready-made clothes; as a part of fashion industry, plus size clothing becomes popular for many women in all age groups. They too wish to make their style statement and it is heart warming to see real women doing catwalk in some real size fashion shows around the world in plus size swimwear or plus size dresses every year.
Today plus size women don't have to sneak to a plus size fashion counter at the end of a mall or shopping center. There are boutiques and designers dedicated to plus size fashion wear. Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano lead the trend of showing plus size garments at their fashion shows in 2011. An Italian fashion house has dedicated a week for plus size fashion shows at their annual fashion week in Milan.
More than the color of the fabric or clothing, it is the designs that accentuate plus size figures. A good style in long sleeves or short sleeves top will slim down the top section; a flattering plus size swimwear like one-piece swimming dress with flowing skirt to camouflage big tummy and deep V neck which accentuates the ample bosom.
There are different plus size body shapes but the majority of them are pear shapes with bigger waistline and hips, as compared to smaller upper bodies. This is most commonly found amongst large women; an A-line swimming dress (in plus size swimwear range) with empire waist to enhance the top and conceal the width of the hips would be ideal for this body shape.
The second most common shape (for plus size women) is apple shape. Apple-shaped women are fuller around the top and the middle including their belly. They're usually larger-busted and their upper arms and shoulders are broader, their legs tend to be slim and their bottoms tend to be flat, in that case they should emphasize their bust and legs while camouflaging their midsection, keeping it all in balance. The main idea is to draw the eye toward the best parts of their bodies; they should wear garments (tops, dresses, plus size swimwear in one-piece or two-piece) which accentuate their bust and which show off their great legs.
Since the plus size fashion (including plus size swimwear) becomes popular beside the revolution of online selling, full-figured women do not even need to go to brick-and-mortal shops to buy their clothes; instead, they can shop and try on the garments at their own homes with the goods delivered to their doors.
